Heavy Crownz talks about growing with grace, providing safe spaces in his community and his debut project

Chicago artist & activist, @heavycrownz , slides to discuss his debut project “Trench Baby Turned Farmer,” experiences growing up in Chicago, losing identity with broken engagement, and growing with grace.

In the song, “2019 Sacrifices,” Heavy Crownz says, “Back in 2019 I had to give up everything.” He discusses losing himself, his job, his relationship & even people around him. However, he used this to search for pieces of himself that he knew were deep within the surface. Heavy knew that multiple doors needed to close in order for him to reach the heights he’s at today.
