Chicago rapper Soski discusses struggles as a child, communication and new album “Soski World”

Chicago rapper, @xsoski , slides to @pvtstck to discuss his new album “Soski World,” reuniting with his old dance group “The Future Kingz,” struggles he faced as a child & learning to effectively communicate.

In the song, “730,” Soski says, “Trynna figure who I am / cause there ain’t no role models in my house / I try to copy riley / watch the boondocks before I put myself to bed.” From an early age, Soski was forced to use media to define what a man had to be. Often, when people lack a consistent role model in life there’s intangibles that get left along the way. For soski, the ability to effectively communicate his emotions was lost; impacting more than just himself. Soski needed time alone to find who he truly is, and his latest project “Soski World,” reveals a never before seen side.
