Ohana Bam Talks Losing Friends While Finding Himself

Chicago rapper, Ohana Bam, slides to PVTSTCK to discuss his recently released project "Summer Songs 4 Girls," previously being signed to Atlantic Records, overcoming doubt from friends & family, and finding himself as a man & artist.

In the song, "Dear Brenton," Bam says the perspective of an outsider, “They Call you Bam, I call you Brenton / so you never forget where/ you started to get there / it fell outta thin air," Bam reflects on the people in his life who called once his dreams became a reality; however, he uses this as an opportunity to shine light on the negative impacts of "fame", and what life looks like once you gain "success." Bam had to navigate becoming a man while also chasing success in an industry where no one believes in you until there's something tangible.

Also discussed: unlearning bad habits, learning to let go of relationships, importance of support from mom & music being in "Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw."
